At the beginning of the month, HP launched its new Specter 13 laptop on the market. In addition to the device itself, the logo placed on it has also become a novelty.
It is reported that the new logo will be present on the Envy and Specter laptop lines in the future. Now the HP logo looks like four slanted lines, in which the letters of the name are guessed. The logo has become more abstract and dynamic by increasing the angle of inclination, it allows you to creatively approach the color scheme and beat the new shape in a variety of sometimes unusual ways, fitting into the overall concept of HP's visual identity.
At the same time, having acquired minimalism and greater lightness, it still remained recognizable and is associated with the former Hewlett Packard logo. The inspiration for the designers was the 1941 company logo.
The new logo is intended to indicate that the laptop belongs to the premium segment. And besides, it is part of HP's overall strategy to change business direction and reorient the company's activities.
The logo was developed by the creative agency Moving Brands, to which the company ordered a package of services to update its corporate identity back in 2008.
