Slogan: Le rire est le propre de l´homme, le sérieux celui de la vache
In France, for quite a long time, since 1926, there was a variety of processed cheese called La Vache Series (Serious cow). Explicit brand copying La Vache Qui Rit (Laughing cow), and even with a frank mockery, led to numerous lawsuits, where the manufacturer was the accuser La Vache Qui Rit - company group Bel, and the defendant company Grosjean from the same city of Lons-le-Saunier.

Despite the obvious relationship between the two brands, it was not until 1959 that the court ruled that Bel Group and "Serious Cow" changed its name to La Vache Grosjean. The previous trial in 1955 ended in failure for Bel Group.
