IBM has unveiled an updated version of its logo. The familiar letters of the name, consisting of eight stripes, now also exist in a rainbow version.
The logo in this color scheme will be used in materials related to the company's initiatives in the field of equality of diverse minorities.
Company `s logo IBM in its familiar form was developed by designer Paul Rand in 1972. The stripes on it symbolized unity and gave a sense of movement. The new version of the logo added a bright accent to the usual name of the company - a rainbow of eight colors. This rainbow color variation was created by artist Gilbert Baker and is a worldwide symbol of the LGBT rights movement.
The new logo variant is intended to highlight IBM's commitment to protecting the rights of minorities and combating any form of discrimination.
